The Claims Advocate is responsible for taking first report of claim, reporting to appropriate company and working toward resolution. The Claims Advocate serves as client support, acts as a liaison between the client, claimant and the company adjustor and documents the agency management system.

  • Take first report of claims; submit claims to company the same day it is received, unless otherwise instructed by the client, producer or account manager, extend full courtesy and help to third parties involved in claims while following agency guidelines.
  • Submit all medical bills, invoices, estimates, etc. to the adjustor &/or insurance company the same day received.
  • Maintain electronic data on all claims activity. Attach claim confirmations, assignment notices, closing notices, etc. to the appropriate claim. Follow up on open claims on a regular basis.



Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to clients, coworkers and management.

Successful candidates must have prior property/casualty insurance experience, superior customer service skills, proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), the ability to multi-task, and exceptional attention to detail. Prior knowledge of Applied Systems (EPIC) is preferred.

Candidates must possess a high-school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred). A Kansas insurance license and professional designation (i.e. CISR) is preferred.
